 Its flavor is spicy and astringent. It is light and oily. Suitable for the three Dosas.
Culinary uses
 No curry is possible without cumin, just like Indian garam masala, Oriental couscous, or Mexican chili can carne spice blends. In Indian, Arabian, or Mexican cooking, cumin is used daily. It accompanies wonderfully chicken, fish, and lamb, as well as bread and cheese.
