Ayurvedic properties
Its flavor is spicy, creamy and light. Reduces Vata and Kapha, and slightly increases Pitta.

Culinary uses
In Europe it is mainly used dried in desserts or marinades. In Asia, is used fresh for meats, vegetables, and fish.
