Warm and spicy. Reduces Vata and Kapha, and increases Pitta.
The seeds’ strong aroma is enhanced if they are grilled or roasted. Used to replace thyme, and marries very well with oregano. In Indian cuisine, it is used in lentil curry, and soups.
